PaySwift
P2P payments and digital wallet for Southeast Asia
Overview
PaySwift is a cross-platform digital wallet and P2P payment app targeting the unbanked and underbanked population across Southeast Asia. Built for a fintech startup backed by a regional VC, the app lets users send money, pay bills, and top up mobile credits — all without a traditional bank account.
The challenge
The client needed to launch in three markets simultaneously with different regulatory requirements, currency handling, and payment rails. The app had to feel fast and trustworthy to users who may have had bad experiences with financial services before.
Our solution
We chose Flutter for a single high-performance codebase across iOS and Android. The payment layer is built on Stripe with local payment method integrations for each market. We implemented biometric authentication, transaction limits, and a fraud detection hook into the backend. The UI was designed with low-literacy users in mind — icon-first, minimal text.
"Launching in three markets at once was a huge risk. AppVault made it feel manageable. They flagged problems before they became problems."
