Grocer

Overview

Grocer is a consumer-facing grocery delivery app for a regional supermarket chain in Malaysia, letting customers browse live inventory, place orders, and track delivery in real time — with a 2-hour delivery promise.

The challenge

The supermarket's existing website was not mobile-optimised and had no real-time inventory. Customers would order items that were out of stock, leading to cancellations and refunds. The business wanted a mobile-first experience that reflected actual shelf availability.

Our solution

We built a React Native app with Expo that connects to the client's existing inventory management system via a custom API layer we designed. Product availability updates in real time as stock changes. The checkout flow supports multiple payment methods including FPX, credit card, and e-wallet. Delivery tracking uses a driver app we built in parallel.
